DSD Bonding with Occlusal Rehabilitation

For this case, the patient has worn her teeth down over the years with severe grinding and clenching.  As she is still young, we chose to work with a non-invasive approach and decided to do composite bonding over the teeth to cover the wear and protect them from wearing down in the future.  We used a Digital Smile Design to plan the case.  We did a mock-up to try in and see how the design looked and to allow the patient to see if she was happy with what the result would look like.  She was happy with the design.  After she had completed her whitening treatment we were then able to go ahead and do the bonding.  We use the Injection Bonding technique to ensure the end result is exact to the digital 3D design.  The patient was ecstatic with her results.  The bonding is then protected by wearing a night guard at night so as to prevent wear on the new bond.

Smile Design with occlusal rehabilitation

This patient presented unhappy with the wearing down of the teeth. We used digital designs to build up the bite on the lower back teeth to allow us the space to bond the front teeth to protect then from further wear.

Upper Anterior Bonding and Whitening
This patient was unhappy with the irregular shapes of his teeth. We used a few aligners to subtly straighten them, and then we proceeded with bonding after whitening.

The result? Six well-bonded teeth made a remarkable difference to his smile—achieved with no damage to the teeth!
Upper Anterior Bonding for Grinding and Chipping
This patient had worn down his front teeth to tiny blocks and wanted to restore their natural shape. We bonded the six upper teeth and also addressed the worn edges of the lower teeth, building up the canines to protect the newly created teeth.

This non-invasive treatment achieved a beautifully natural result.
Bonding Enhancement for Small Teeth
This patient had worn down his front teeth to tiny blocks and wanted to restore their natural shape. We bonded the six upper teeth and also addressed the worn edges of the lower teeth, building up the canines to protect the newly created teeth.

This non-invasive treatment achieved a beautifully natural result.
Full Upper and Lower Bonding after Whitening
This patient presented unhappy with her smile. She desired a full, white smile but was very clear that she did not want to damage her teeth in the process.

We decided on non-invasive bonding following whitening. Six upper and twelve lower teeth were bonded to achieve this dramatic result. The patient is absolutely ecstatic with the outcome, and we are thrilled that we were able to create her new smile without causing any damage to her teeth.
